Montreal, Quebec (Canada), Sunday July 8th 2018 – A member of Adam Dyczka’s coaching staff contacted TKO President Stephane Patry  to make him aware that the undefeated heavyweight had suffered a concussion in training and will thus be unable to compete in his title fight scheduled for TKO Fight Night 1 on August 2nd. Dyczka was diagnosed with a concussion by his own doctors and the TKO organization will have him see concussion specialists this week to determine the severity of this concussion as this is Adam’s second concussion in the last year and as always, fighter safety is a priority with TKO.

As a result, the championship fight was offered to “Bloody” BOBBY SULLIVAN (1-1, 1 KO) who instantaneously responded in one word: “Fantastic!”.  When asked if the fact of moving from a 3-round fight to a 5-round fight would cause an issue, Sullivan simply stated: “It doesn’t matter, this isn’t going the distance.” Sullivan earned a large fan base last year when, in his pro debut, he had a slugfest with Adam Dyczka that could have gone either way but wound up with the latter coming out the victor.  After healing his injuries, Sullivan returned to action in March at TKO42 with a spectacular knockout of veteran Blake Nash and has had his eyes on the championship ever since.

The challenge he must overcome is that of France’s Ciryl Gane who will be making his pro MMA debut on that night, but who holds a 13-0 record in professional kickboxing/Muay Thai and who may analysts feel is the best heavyweight striker ever to compete for TKO. Gane wasn’t phased by the change of opponent “I will face anyone they put in front of me on my way to the top…

One thing is for certain, fans will definitely get their money’s worth when these powerful punchers to determine who is the baddest man in TKO. The organization is hard at work right now to find a replacement to fight Bakary Sakho that same night as he was Sullivan’s original opponent for TKO FIGHT NIGHT 1.

TKO Fight Night 1 happens Thursday August 2nd at La Tohu in Montreal, Canada.  Tickets are available now by calling 514-700-1909.
