STRAHINJA GAVRILOVIC SCRATCHED FROM TKO44 BOUT WITH TODD STOUTE
Montreal, Quebec (Canada), Friday August 31st 2018 – After being made aware of a pending personal matter regarding Strahinja Gavrilovic, TKO has opted to remove him from his scheduled TKO44 bout on September 21st against Todd Stoute.
Gavrilovic had been suspended twice by the Quebec athletic commission (Regie des alcools des courses et des jeux) in the last 20 months. The first following his unsportsmanlike conduct during a January 2017 fight with Jonathan Vallee where he was disqualified. The second came after a doping violation last December. TKO President Stephane Patry was very disappointed but left with no other option “It’s very discouraging as we were all looking forward to this rematch. Gavrilovic needs to make decisions for himself and decide if he really wants to be a pro athlete. He obviously needs help and let’s hope this time he really learns from yet another setback for his career…“
TKO is now looking to find a suitable opponent to fight Stoute on September 21.
