It is with great pride that TKO MMA announces the re-signing of one of its top featherweight prospects, MATAR “THE MANTIS” LO to a new multi-fight agreement.
This 26-year old warrior from Ottawa, Ontario has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in this his rookie year, scoring knockout victories in his last two outings. The tall and lanky 145-pounder has wowed TKO fans by showcasing the muay thai skills taught to him by Kru Jeff Harrison, making him a man to watch whenever he steps into the octagon.
As one could expect, TKO President Stephane Patry was extremely pleased with today’s announcement, noting that Lo could find himself in the championship picture very soon: “We have a strong featherweight division with studs like Jourdain, Laramie, Nogueira, Morgan and many more but I really think Matar has the raw potential to be the future of this division. He’s still very young but don’t blink, his growth in the next year might surprise a lot of people.”
Indeed the future looks bright for Lo and the next step on his quest could come as early as December 8 at the Bell Centre at TKO41. Be sure to check www.tkomma.ca or our various social media platforms for updates on Matar Lo and TKO41.
